In injection molding, whenever a plastic part cannot be demolded without moving tool parts, a slider is used. To guarantee excellent sliding properties, our experienced metallurgists have developed the perfect material for sliders:

In injection molding, whenever a plastic part has undercuts, the use of a slider is necessary. Otherwise, the plastic part cannot be ejected properly. For this to succeed, the right material with the right properties is needed.

Since many injection molded products have special requirements, auxiliary equipment is needed from time to time to form complex geometries, especially when it comes to releasing the finished product when the mold is opened. This is where a so-called slider is often used as a core-pulling mechanism

Sliders are always necessary when the plastic part cannot be demolded without moving tool parts. There is a great variety of slide mechanisms. At its basic level, a slider is used to convert the vertical motion of opening or closing the mold into a horizontal one.

Deep drawing is one of the most frequently used metal forming processes. It finds application in various industries but is best known for its use in the automotive industry. Learn how the process works, typical challenges, and what you need to consider when it comes to tooling.

Deep drawing is a so-called tensile pressure forming process. In this process, tensile and compressive forces turn a sheet blank into a finished workpiece. The sheet blank is formed into a hollow body in one or more passes without changing or only minimally changing the sheet thickness. Other well-known tension-forming processes besides deep drawing are die-drawing and spinning.

Each process has different advantages and disadvantages and is used for different components. In this way, the appropriate products are created with the desired quality. Thus, deep drawing can be used flexibly and in various ways and is convincing in different industries. In the automotive industry, for example, the variant using fixed and stable tools is chosen, which ensures the desired results.
